This post was written by A, our 8-year old adventurer! Our first five weeks were pretty fast-paced and we saw a lot.  A wrote the post below, sharing his highlights of our first five weeks.

These are the 15 best highlights from the first five weeks of the trip:

  1. Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone was good even though you had to pay $3 to get the Jr.Ranger booklets or $5 for a Jr.scientist booklet.  Old Faithful,Grand and Castle geyser were to my opinion the three best geysers in Yellowstone.

2.  YMCA of the Rockies

The Rockies were cool and this YMCA was emosewa(awesome) but these two combined!!!AMAZING!!!almost as good as Yellowstone!the YMCA had soccer, archery,kickball,rock climbing EVERYTHING!!!

fun fact:there is a river disconnecting Rocky mountain National Park and YMCA of the Rockies

3.  Paddleboarding

Paddleboarding is fun and it was my first time I fell off once and the water was freezing!brrrrrrr but paddleboarding is still fun no matter what!!!

4.  Arches National  Park

Arches is cool and has good hikes but the scenery is AMAZING!!!most people admire the arches ya they are cool but look at the scenery!!!my favorite arch is the Delicate Arch the arch is but the view when you look down is again amazing!!!

5.  Gooseneck State Park

Gooseneck is like Horseshoe Bend but three times the scenery and really brown water and two bends!!!

6.  Monument Valley

Monument Valley is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it has voodos of everything!!!! it is awesome!!!!!!!!

fun fact:Monument Valley is not in the U.S. it is in Navajo Territory

7.Grand Tetons National Park

Grand Tetons are mountains but in Grand Tetons National Park there are hikes,lakes and tetons, they have amazing scenery too!!!!

8.  Hike with a llama for lunch

Hiking with a llama is a once in a lifetime experience you hike a trail have lunch and hike back the special feeling is unexplainable you got to try it your self.

9.Purgatory Resort

Purgatory is Rock climbing,ziplining,Alpine Sliding and a lot of other activities.

10.  White Sands National Monument

White Sands was cool you could sled down the sand dunes.

11.  Mirror mazes

These mirror mazes were hard there was only one but in that one there where three the first one was easy the second short and easy and third hard there was also a laser vault game you had to dodge the lasers and press a button to get timed if you hit a laser it was minus fifty seconds.

13.  Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands is a scenic National Park with amazing views.The mesa arch was my favorite in Canyonlands

14.  Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Carlsbad is a series of caverns like the big room but a lot of the caverns is just waiting to be discovered.

15.  Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde is one of the only man made National Parks made by the Native Americans but the views are cool.

These are my top five favorite National Parks of the first five weeks.

  1.   Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is a bit of everything it is hard to believe nature made all of it in one area.

fun fact:Yellowstone is the largest concentration of geysers in the world.

2.  Arches National Park

Arches has a LOT of arches.

3. Grand Tetons National Park

The Grand Tetons is a series of mountains with good views for a 100 miles.

4.  Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands is… just cool and scenic.

5.  Rocky Mountain National Park

The Rocky Mountains are cool I know I did not include it in top 15 highlights but it was with YMCA of the Rockies.
